Guests at National Park Retreats
are allowed open camp-fires providing that they following guidelines: |

- Open fires are allowed only in the metal fire rings provided.
- Fire rings must remain placed flat on the ground, with no areas
for flames or embers to escape below the fire ring.
- Fire rings are placed in secured specific locations on the
campsite and. Guests may not relocate the Fire Rings for
any purpose.
- Guests are encouraged to use charcoal for the fire rings and
to limit use to cooking.
- Burning wood cannot protrude beyond the edges of the Fire Ring.
- Fires are not allowed in the Pod (Primitive) Sites.
- Fires must be FULLY EXTINGUISHED.

The guidelines are designed to minimize the
risk of wildfires which can be easily started without proper care
and attention. We are grateful to our guests for working with us
to continue to be able to enjoy campfires! |
